Let me solve ALL your problems

Monday, August 14th, 2006

I’m sure most of you would have heard of the term "Agony Aunt" and even if you have not, you’d probably have read one of those "Dear Thelma" or "Big Bro" columns in newspapers or magazines. Those are your Agony Aunts who always seem to have the solutions to all your problems. Some of you may have also written to one of those columns.. anonymously… oooo, i wonder who.. *evil grin*

Do you read the problems? I know i do, most of the time. But do you bother to read the solutions? I know i don’t. Somehow, problems seem to be more attractive than solutions, especially if they print a really controversial sub-line. Besides that, most of the solutions to problems are quite alike, for example, "Be yourself", "Listen to your heart", that kinda stuff, hah)

Anyways, i’m on this topic because i’ve taken up magazine publishing as one of my courses this semester, and i’ve also taken up the role of Aunty MeL. (bleh… am NOT going to name it that… it’s gotta be WAAAY cooler than that. so far, i’m considering between "Tell it to MeL" and "Righting your writes". What do you think?)

So, the question i have for all you people who read my blog (which is probably only a handful of you) - Do YOU have a problem I can solve? =P Please please write in/or create one in my post comments:) cuz it’s quite potong-stim to create my own problems and then solve them. =P And that way,  you can help me out with my assignment too, HEHE…

Other than that, i bid you all a GREAT and problemless (or problem-ful, hehe) week ahead!

Blinded.

Last night, i dreamt that i was myself, pretending to be blind.

i didn’t dream that i lost my sight, but i merely pretended to have lost it. For whatever reason, don’t know/can’t remember.

That was until i got busted by a medical doctor, when i was brought for a check-up by a friend (i can’t remember who now)

I shared my dream with Wai Kin, my housemate/coursemate/closest coursemate-housemate friend in kl, and she said maybe in reality, you WANT to be blind to certain situations, not wanting be addressed with certain issues, or to face reality.

Now that’s a thought.  So now i’m raking my brains, trying to think of any issues which i have been ignoring; consciously OR unconsciously.

Can’t find any.

Or maybe i’m still blinded to them then, huh?
